DEFINING THE FUTURE OF PRIVATE HOME CARE
Andrew Key is Managing Director and Registered Manager of Liberty Private Care, and has more than 25 years’ experience in the health and social care sector. Following on from working for Bolton NHS Trust Andrew opened a domiciliary care company with Fiona in 1999. He has been an active participant with differing local and national groups, has improved care through: innovation in the administration of medication in the community; care sector training; the implementation of end-of-life standards culminating in receiving the Six Steps End of Life Accreditation from East Lancashire Hospice; and the development of a Night Care and an Integrated Triage and Response Care Team. He was a finalist at the national Great British Care Awards for the category ‘Outstanding Contribution to Social Care’ and one of his carers won the national final in the category of Carer of the Year.
Fiona Key qualified as a Registered General Nurse from St James’ Hospital, Leeds in 1983. After working for the NHS & Private Hospitals, then worked as a Matron of a Nursing Homebefore running a Nursing Agency for over 10 years and her own Training Company. She also has a Care of the Elderly ENB qualification.
Fiona opened a Domiciliary Care Company with Andrew in 1999 in the Northwest, moving to the South Coast in 2011. Although no longer on the Nursing Register to practice, Fiona is passionate about providing a high quality service exceeding clients expectations.
