Live in Care
Sometimes it is more cost effective or preferable to have a carer living in your home with you full time. It means you are able to stay in your own home, in familiar surroundings and in the community you have roots in. You are able to get up when you want, have your meals when you want, watch the television programme you want and have continuity of the person looking after you.
LIVE IN CARERS
Liberty Private Care can provide a Live In carer to suit your requirements
- Long Term Live In
- Short Term Live In per 7 days periods
- Respite Live In per 24 hour period
Live In Care can be provided for an individual or for a couple. It can be for just providing companionship, to providing more clinical care for people who have had a stroke, have Multiple Sclerosis, are approaching the end of life, are Diabetic or have Dementia etc. A particular & significant benefit to someone that has dementia, staying in their own home, is that it avoids a deterioration in mental capacity that occurs in changing surroundings.
What will the Live In Carer Do?
A carer from Liberty Private Care will follow a personalised care plan which has been written by our Registered Nurse following our nurse meeting, assessing, discussing and agreeing with you and any family members you wish to be there, what care you will receive from us.
This will include the help you need with making meals, with washing, dressing & bathing, help with toileting if required, mobilising, as well as social activities inside & outside your home. It may also include looking after a pet, giving or prompting you to take medication, accompanying you to medical appointments, giving insulin injections, dealing with a catheter or colostomy, helping with physio, cleaning, shopping etc.
WHY LIBERTY PRIVATE CARE?
Liberty Private Care is managed by a Registered Manager with over 25 years of care management experience and a Registered Nurse. Between them, they oversee the recruitment of only the highest caliber carers who all have a qualification in care. We do not employ carers without an appropriate qualification so you can be rest assured that whoever is looking after you is knowledgeable, experienced and has been also given extra, specialised training, during their employment with us, usually in our own dedicated training room at our office in Christchurch.
All the carers are monitored by our Management Team and client care regularly assessed to ensure that it is still appropriate.
We also provide a concierge service to make things easier for both clients and their families. In today’s world where everyone is so busy and families are not always close by, it’s the little things that can cause the biggest headaches, for example arranging for a television to be repaired, arranging for the carpets to be cleaned or for a GP medication review. We can take the burden off family members by coordinating these tasks for you. Not only will we do it, but we will tell you we have done it, giving you and your family peace of mind.
Our PASS communication system not only keeps our management team and carers up to date in real time, but it can also be shared with family members, with the clients permission, so that they know what is happening. This is particularly useful if a family member has a Lasting Power of Attorney with responsibility for the client.
